Never the Same

He had a scar across his face that stretched from his left eye to the left side of his mouth. It looked as if he had a demented smile. The scar is deep and had ridges in which you could tell someone had gone over it with a knife a few times. This Mans name was David E. Buck. He was tall and thick from years of military training and working out. He had jet black hair that was cut in a high and tight fashion. He was a strong man with a strong personality. Always serious never emotional, A hard ass I kind of thought to myself. I was interviewing him for my job as a reporter for CNN. He began by telling me how he had got his scar. They had just flown him to Pakistan for a mission briefing they where recovering prisoners from a Pakistan prison camp. They had set off on their mission when they got into the prison camp someone had been spotted and sounded the alarm. Everyone was surrounded by guards and taken out. Dave being in the shadows watched his colleagues die one by one. He then was found by a man. David had said his name was Alack. Alack was darker skinned with a burn on the right side of his face we where a long robe and always carried what looked like a silver plated AK-47. Alack was missing his two lower fingers. Dave was pretty sure they had been severed with a knife. Alack was a cold and hostile man, but there was something about David that we wanted to keep him alive. I think it was to how much torture this one man could take. Dave began telling me of how he was beaten daily with the butt of a gun. He went weeks without food and days without water. They where trying to physical destroy this mans physic. He was electrocuted on numerous occasions and was beat profusely. David lost a lot of energy and hope everyday he had been there but Alack slipped up one day. Alack had went to the prisons bathroom and left his gun on a table near Davids cell. David grabbed the gun and threw a bullet into the chamber. He then had the guard unlock the chamber. When the guard looked away David takes the guards knife and makes a nice clean cut across the guard’s neck. He then took the guards clothes and heads to take out the rest before Alack returned from the restroom. He took out the other two guards and finds Alack coming from the bathroom. He shot Alack twice one in each leg. Walked to Alack who had cut his face to mark him as his when he first went into the prison camp. Found himself starring at the end of a knife headed right for his. David cut From Alack’s left eye down to the mouth and back up to his right eye leaving a almost sickening scar across Alacks face. He then shot Alack in the arms and stomach so Alack death would have been slow. Dave then rescues the surviving prisoners from the camp and returns to an American military base. He was sent back to the United States and was Honored for his acts of Courage, Valor and, being a true military hero.

The Love of Her Life

                                                    Taken From Google Images

She adjusted his bow tie as mothers always do when there son is getting there first Prom. Trent a freshman in high school had a date with the cutest girl in school. Her name was candy she was a senior with long beautiful blond hair. She walked around the school like owned it, she was cocky and vulgar, and always said what was on her mind. Trent and Candy had been dating for months and her being a senior meant Trent could go to the Prom. Trent was a tall suave kid with a beard at only 15 he had a muscular frame. He was starting quarterback for his school and a cocky attitude to go along with Candy's. They were perfect together.
"You look so handsome son".
"Mom, the tie is perfect stop playing with it, its fine".
"I just want you to look your best.
The door bell rings and Candy walks through the door in a bright pink dress with black high heels on.
"Hey gorgeous ready to go," Candy says in her sweet innocent voice.
"Almost babe, God you look amazing".
"Thanks you do too I love you".
"Love you too".
Trent's mom butts in, "He better be home on time Candy".
"He will maybe," candy says as they begin walking out the door winking at Trent's mother.
"Bye Mom".
"Bye son".
They get into Candy's white Blazer and speed off. Both look at each other lovingly and kiss each other.
“Are you ready for the wonderful night babe".
“Of course Candy I have been waiting all month."
"Good, Cause i have a little surprise after the dance for you" Candy winks at Trent.
Trent sits back and begins thinking of taking Candy's dress off and finally becoming a man that everyone would idolize at school. He then snaps back into reality to the sit of bright headlights headed right for Candy's Blazer. He hears the crunch of metal on metal and feels himself slam against the dash. HE then finds himself on the roof of the Blazer his tuxedo covered in blood. Her calls out Candy's name but no reply. He looks over there she is a gash in her head and blood coming from her mouth. Her eyes look lifeless. Trent then feels a sharp pain in his neck and begins to fade out. The last thing Trent sees is the flash of blue and red lights.
Trent begins to come back into consciousness and sees he is in the hospital. He finds his mom sitting next to him.
"Oh my god, sweetie you’re awake".
"I thought you where never going to wake up".
"Mom where am I and how did I get here?"
"You’re in St. Vincent’s Hospital you and Candy where in an accident with a drunk driver."
"Where's Candy?"
"She didn’t make it."
A tear begins to roll down Trent’s face he thinks why did this have to happen to me? What did I do to deserve this to happen to her?
"So she's g-g", chokes down his words as his mom interrupts him.
"Yes."

C.A.M.P.F.I.R.E. The Campfire Song

Dustin, Chris, Jonathan, and I hell bent for a good time. We packed up Chris's jeep with our sleeping bags, other mindless items, and of course the best thing to bring on a camping trip other than beer, acoustic guitars. Jonathan and I have been working on an acoustic album for months and we thought of this as a perfect get away to finish our album. This is the perfect trip to strengthen our friendship we all thought to ourselves as we rolled out. My friend's have always been my family, the ones that where always there. We discussed our futures of being well known musical artists on the way up there just as we have for years. Our dream, one that has never died. We where always the ones that where never popular and we never had tons of friends but we have always had each other. Since the day I started high school. What brought us together was our love for music and our ability to play an instrument. We are arrive relieved that our work week is done and we are out in the wild finally chilling. We unpack but of course Dustin being Dustin heads straight for a bottle of beer. He takes a swig and yells "LET THIS NIGHT EVER END"! We all stop what we are doing and grab a beer and cheer with him. Chris sets up the tent as dawn breaks and we all set our sleeping bags in it. Dustin and I grab the diesel from the jeep and soaked a log with it. We stack twigs and brush into the fire and Dustin throws his half lit cigarette into the fire. It ignites the diesel and the fire begins to crackle. "Isn’t it beautiful", Chris says.
"Yes its magnificent the colors of orange and reds swirl and mixing as if they are making love".
"Dude, I'm sick of this man all we do is work our asses off and have nothing to show for".
"Yea we do bro we all have each other".
"But sometimes I mean don’t you want more wonder if there is anything better".
"We all do bro we all hope and dream for those things man but things can only happen so fast, but what if we go no where what if we are another joke of a band like the last one that came through town."
"We aren’t even close man we are who we are and we do what we do"
"Yea I suppose".
"Life sucks sometimes man but you know what you do when life brings you down you grab your guitar".
We all grab our guitars and start to play around on them joking and laughing drinking beer.

Dustins last stand

Dustin a young father and husband life seems to be falling apart at the seems. He has always dreamed since he was a teen to be in a band that actually went somewhere. He was in a band called "The Reckless Tears".Him and his freinds had started it years ago and had been playing in bars for years. There music was primarily metal and punk and all it was about was the life of the party. They wanted that bad boy punk theme to them, Dustin, being the singer had numerous tattoos and piercing to perceive this image. Which made it hard for him to find jobs luckily there had been an opening at the Hot Topic located near town which meant he could keep his piercing. Unfortunately this job didn't pay him enough to support his family. His music career is not taking off like he had planned so he seemed hopeless. That night when he went home he begins talking to his wife she tells him how he is a terrible father.  All he ever cares about his stupid drunk ass friends and partying. He is still stuck in his teens and he cant even take of her. She tells him she is going to stay with her mother until Dustin can grow up and figure things out. She packs her stuff, takes cody, and leaves. Sitting alone in his apartment without his beautiful wife and kid,  Dustin sighs,  he feels his life is over. Dustin goes out that night and heads to the bar and drinks an excessive amount of alcohol. He lays on his bed and begins to think again which makes him more depressed so he heads to his closet and pulls out his 9mm pistol he keeps to protect his family. He takes another swig of alcohol from the bottle and presses the cold metal to his temple. A million thoughts run through his mind at once, and an image pops into his head. This image of him, his wife, and son out at a picnic enjoying the sun. His wife looks extremely beautiful in the sunlight just as of the day of his wedding. His son never so happy in his life. Another pictures pops in his head the image of his son and wife at her mothers enjoying a cup of hot chocolate with her mother. This image the one he was trying to keep away comes to him and a tear rolls down his eyes. He tightens the grip on the pistol and presses it further into his temple, his breath begins to become deeper and his heart rate increases. He is preparing himself for the whats next (CLICK). Dustin breaths out and the tears poor from his eyes he screams "WHY GOD WHY KEEP ME HERE I DO NOT DESERVE WHAT I HAVE". He sulks into the floor and notices a pencil he had thrown there from the night before. The pencil custom made with his band name on it. He grabs his notebook and begins to write his wife a letter saying nothing is worse then losing her. He will do what it takes to kep her and his son. He then writes down his emotions and sits and thinks to himself he gets a tone in his head so he grabs his guitar and begins to write verses and choruses of the events that have torn him apart in just one night. He then takes his letter to his wife and he rereads it.As he re-reads it another tone pops into his head one he has never even thought of or heard. He starts to play it on the guitar and a wave of emotion begins to wash over him. He is writing this song from his heart and sole. Dustin had learned many things that night. Its not about the look of your band the type of music you play it is about the story or struggle your song has to tell. The heart within the song. He also learned that fame and fortune is never what he wanted he wanted a beautiful loving family. Like the one he has right now. <3
